With a focus on written and verbal communication, the BLS core curriculum exposes you to a breadth of disciplines, including business and entrepreneurship, cybersecurity, philosophy, humanities, and natural and social sciences.

You’ll have the opportunity to further hone your skills in a specific concentration area, which will build upon the core academic foundations of the curriculum. Each concentration prepares you for your career journey.

Balancing school and work can be difficult. Our asynchronous format means that you can complete course work on your schedule. The mobile app helps you access certain course materials from anywhere, and save your content for offline access. Although you can view lecture videos and take notes directly in the app, students are encouraged to complete projects and assignments using a computer.

After completing the course, you can transition directly into the concentration this Fall. 

In this concentration, you will gain the essential skills and knowledge needed for a successful career in areas such as intelligence, cybersecurity, criminology, or technology. The program combines theoretical understanding with practical expertise, ensuring you are well-equipped for the real-world challenges of these fields. 

Upon completion of the program, students will be able to:

  • Analyze and interpret intelligence data to identify patterns, threats, and opportunities in complex environments. 

  • Apply criminological theories to address contemporary social issues. 

  • Evaluate the use of current technologies for problem-solving and optimization in professional settings. 

  • Discuss the ethical and legal considerations associated with intelligence activities, security measures, and technological innovations.
