The College of Engineering & Applied Science faculty includes two former NASA astronauts and the founder of Engineers Without Borders-USA. CU Engineering is among the top 25 best engineering schools in the nation.

ME-EM faculty are engineers with extensive experience in a broad range of industries, including aerospace, automotive, telecommunications and renewable energy. They have taken early-stage R&D initiatives and grew them into successful business ventures. They led multi-million dollar product development projects, high-volume manufacturing operations, and complex space programs spanning many industries and governmental organizations. Dr. Christy Bozic joined CU Boulder in 2015 and is currently the EMP Faculty Director. She is a teacher-scholar interested in helping students bridge their engineering education to careers in industry by developing business acumen.

Dr. Jessica Rush Leeker has an MBA with a specialization in Sustainability and Operations and a Ph.D. in Engineering Education. Dr. Leeker has worked for many successful consumer product companies, including Unilever, and Georgia Pacific. She focuses on practical methods of corporate outreach in STEM.

Daniel Moorer

Professor in Engineering Practice

Dr. Daniel Moorer joined the EMP in 2012 as the faculty member responsible for the Project Management and Business Simulation coursework in the Engineering Management Program (EMP). He also leads the Wacari Group, a Boulder, Colorado company whose charter is to support the development of innovative and paradigm-breaking product concepts that benefit the community.

Dr. Michael Readey aims to encourage the next generation of engineering leaders to create innovative and socially responsible opportunities in clean energy, air and water for a rapidly growing world. His experience is in technology development, new venture creation, and engineering management.

Ron Duren

Ron Duren

Teaching Assistant Professor

Ron Duren Jr. joined the EMP in 2015, after spending 18 years in the corporate world with a Fortune 500 company as a Mechanical Engineer in the data storage industry. He has extensive experience managing outsourced global project teams. He now owns a Leadership Coaching and Consulting practice, in addition to his teaching. He specializes in Leadership development and training executives to perform at their very best under stressful situations.
