I still have much room for improvement, but the first two courses in the Elementary Algebra series have been a great re-introduction to key college algebra topics. I plan to continue to enroll in additional courses and continue to move forward in my mathematics training. This have been very worthwhile for me and I highly recommend these courses.

Pleas make more questions to practice that are similar to the questions on the quizes and final. The second week needs a video to explain how to apply the equations to the word probles given on the quizies and final.

I used this to review some Algebra before taking a Calculus course. This overview of functions was perfect for that purpose. For whatever reason, the algebra problems in the Johns Hopkins courses have been so beneficial for me. They really solidify my understanding of the concepts, and offers a valuable glimpse into their applications. If this is your first time going through these concepts, I'd highly recommend pairing it with other material, like Khan Academy. If you're just looking for a quick review, this course is one of the best quick overviews of algebra you're likely to find.

Excellent course materials and instruction videos. Also, I found that the questions of quizzes and exams are highly innovative. They are not meant for testing mere theoretical knowledge, but also, test one's ability to think apply the theoretical knowledge gained.

This course gives the basic of the concepts of functions and gives opportunities for the student to challenge his basic understanding of functions by giving real-wrld examples of its application.

The "Application of Functions" section of Week 2 doesn't have any video instruction in contrast to the prior sections and it is harder to absorb the material as a result.
