Hello, learners. Grab your refreshing beverage, and get ready to think about those three little words, not I love you. Another three little words. These three little words will become crucial to your brands identity whether or not you share them with anybody else in the world. They'll become so important because they'll serve as your guiding principle. And one of your assignments, as you probably have already seen, is to write a mission statement. And you'll use these three words that you choose to form the foundation of your mission statement. So they're gonna be very very important. And with all the other work we're doing right now. It's important that you take your time, but also try and react to it spontaneously. For instance when you think of yourself and your brand and what you have to offer the world, what three words come to mind? Usually that's a pretty good guess as to what your core values are. Now when I did this exercise, because of course, I do all of these as well for myself, because I give such good advice, so I take it, my three words were honesty, creativity, and integrity. And I wanna talk a little bit about honesty and integrity. They don't necessarily mean the same thing. I think a lot of people equate them in their mind as being the same thing. But, integrity just means that I will do my best to be an honorable person at all times. And so that's my integrity. I'll always strive to do what's right. Honesty is not necessarily something associated with politeness, which I think people often think it is but honesty and truthfulness indicate that even if it's news that I think my client is not going to want to hear I am going to tell them anyway because I have a duty to be truthful with them in my work. Part of. I think my boss gets tired of hearing me say this sometimes, but what I tell him is, if I disagree with you, I have to tell you because part of what you're paying me for is my opinion. So, I think it's very good to be very honest with your clients. Your boss, whomever you're working on behalf of. So again, honesty, integrity, not necessarily the same thing, but they both serve very clear purposes in my mind for me and my brand. The other one is creativity. This one's a little harder to pin down sometimes. But for me, the way creativity manifests in my work, is that I don't necessarily think about or approach a problem the way most people would. And that can throw people off occasionally, but it's good because sometimes I'll come into a situation and I'll look at it in a way that perhaps nobody else has. So that's something that I think that I bring to the table. So I think that those three words really sum up me and my brand. And though, they don't necessarily appear in my mission statement, which again, I'm going to share with you. They do form the background of it. I think that when you read it, you'll have that feel for it. You'll see that those words sort of infuse it. So, sort of like when you're making a tea, or a soup, you may not necessarily know there's a certain ingredient in that recipe, but somehow it informs the background of that tea or that soup, so it makes it better. You don't necessarily think, oh, there's ginger in here, or some other ingredient but there is something about having it in the mix that really informs and infuses it and makes it a richer mixture. So I hope that analogy makes sense. If not, ask me about it and I'll try to clarify that a little bit. So again, my three little words, honesty, integrity and creativity and I really want to know what your three are. And if you plan on sharing these because done right, it could be a great slogan for your brand, but it's up to you. But I'd love to hear what you decide, and I hope this was helpful.
